November 2009 Team

We are waiting in the Atlanta airport to board our flight to Lima, Peru. So far our trip has gone well. Our next flight is scheduled to depart on time with the airplane at the gate. Please continue to pray for safe travel, good weather, God's will, and open hearts and minds to His Word. Please pray that we are able to obtain Bibles while in Lima and that leaders would emerge in the villages we visit.

We were just talking in the office wondering where you were on the way to Peru. Many here are praying for God's grace as you travel and His Acts 1:8 power as you attempt to set the stage for new churches in the villages. To God be the glory in the Church!

Thank you for all the prayers, they continue to work. We made it to Lima without any trouble. We got all our logistics worked out today before we head to the mountains tomorrow morning. We found Bibles in Lima...Praise God!! Please continue to pray for safe travel and good weather especially on the mountain roads.

As we head for the mountains, please pray that God's will will be done in all we do and that the people would have open hearts and minds to His message for them. Finally, pray that leaders would emerge and the people would have a desire to meet after we leave.

Michael, Rebekah and Gabriel Constante are doing great. They are great hosts!! We are very thankful for the opportunity to spend some time with them.

God Bless, Eric and Mary

Howdy Y'all. Eric and Mary are on their way to the mountains. The left at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. (Three hours past their expected departure time.) There was a slight wait for the truck to be delivered.
Continue to pray for safe travel up the mountains. Eric was a little concerned with the tires on the truck. They were not "all terrain" tires. However, they should not have any problems in dry weather.
Their interpreter is Emanuel. He is Christian and a nice guy. Pray that the team will be one and that God will be able to use them all to glorify Himself.

Eric and Mary,
Praise God about the Bibles. That is something I've been praying about for a long time. I'll be praying for you both as you give them out, that God will give you the words needed to impart the urgency of spending daily time in His Word. Let His Word pierce hearts and change lives!

We made it back to Lima today. God is working wonders in the Andes Mountains. The people of Carampoma, Laraos, Huanza, and San Juan de Iris are all hungry for God's word. Even though the weather did not cooperate, it rained every day, we were able to hold Bible studies in each of the villages, follow-up on previous professions of faith, and identify leaders in Carampoma. Several couples in Carampoma met on their own initiative a couple of times between our visits...Praise God. We were able to provide some training and materials to one of the couples and encouraged them to continue to hold Bible studies. So much more to tell about what God is doing. We got a HOT SHOWER at the Constantes and they continue to be great hosts. We head back for the U.S. and Texas early tomorrow morning (1:20 a.m.). Please continue to pray for safe travel. God Bless, Eric and Mary
